About us

The Automated Political Stance Identifier is the result of the work of a group of researchers within the Path to Power project. The Path to Power is a research team at the Hasso-Plattner Institute of the University of Potsdam. It was established in October 2023 within the Department of Digital Technology, Governance, and Policy. The project studies the role of digital technologies in political processes, with a focus on the Global South and other underrepresented political contexts. It is funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
